Professor Dr. Gökhan Demirkıran received his medical degree from Hacettepe University’s Faculty of Medicine. In the years 2000-2005, he completed his specialty training at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, and became an Orthopaedics and Traumatology specialist. Between 2008 and 2010, he worked as a spine fellow in the same department for two years and in private hospitals and in his private practise

Dr. Halil Gökhan Demirkıran specialises in child and adult spine illnesses. In 2013, he spent 5 months at Stanmore University Spine Clinic in London and 4 months at San Francisco UCSF Spine Center for clinical and academic research. Dr. Demirkıran has participated in numerous academic projects in Hacettepe University and has made major contributions to the literature on spine surgery. 5. He is the deputy term coordinator for 5th year medical students and a member of the Turkish Spine Society’s board of directors.
